Madrid is the most requested city for events
5 April, 2023The “Global Meetings & Events Forecast” index ranks Madrid as the most popular European city to hold events this year. To achieve this position, the intense work carried out by the Madrid Convention Bureau (MCB) has been vital, present at a total of 17 fairs and professional shows aimed at the MICE sector.
The latter attended large events such as IBTM World, with its own area which featured over twenty associated Madrid companies and opted for professional fairs, many of them held in the city itself, thus increasing its visibility and that of the different agents of its tourism industry.
All the effort put in by Madrid was rewarded by obtaining several awards, such as “Best Meeting Tourism Destination in Europe” and “Best Meeting Tourism Destination in the World” (World Travel Awards) or “Best Business Destination MICE tourism in Europe” (World MICE Awards), achieved for the fifth, fourth and third consecutive year, respectively.
