The Palacio de Congresos in Palma will host 12,000 participants in an event
5 April, 2023The Palau de Congressos de Palma had the best year in its history in 2022. Despite a start to the year conditioned by the Omicron variant, the Palacio began a rapid recovery curve from the second quarter, now without travel restrictions, which made it possible to return to normal activity for congresses, events, incentives and meetings.
Overall a total of 226 events were held (+78% vs 2021), with 61,476 participants (+151.7% vs 2021). As regards event types, fairs and exhibitions represented 28% of the total number of attendees during the year, congresses 23%, social events 15%, conventions 11%, meetings 8% and the rest were varying events.
As for 2023, an international training event for the automotive sector stands out, with almost 12,000 people attending from all over the world and which will occupy the Palau de Congressos for three months. Likewise, for the rest of the year there are at least a dozen large congresses and events already confirmed and a first semester with all the spaces occupied.
