Which Spanish chain is a pioneer in obtaining the S for sustainability?
5 April, 2023Stayingvalencia has become the first Spanish hotel chain to achieve the official certificate “S Tourism Sustainability” from the Spanish Tourism Quality Institute (ICTE). Since its creation 20 years ago, the brand, with six hotels, five tourist apartment buildings and five restaurants in Valencia, has had an environmental, social and economically sustainable proposal.
The company has prioritised compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, guaranteeing the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation (SDG 6), reducing water consumption and the polluting nature of kitchen detergents. Implementing digital tools to improve processes, improving customer care and service and increasing security/ safety.
As well as guaranteeing access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy (SDG 7), facilitating the charging of customers' electric vehicles with renewable sources and reducing energy consumption in all Group establishments. Without forgetting to promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work (SDG 8).
