Malaga received almost 13 million visitors last year, which confirms it as the most visited destination in Andalusia and one of the main ones in Spain. But its appeal is not limited just to the city, nor to Marbella or Torremolinos, the province offers much more and it is time to say so. Here are 5 towns in Malaga that stand out for their beauty and that can be visited at any time of the year.

  1. Ronda. The city still preserves part of its walls and walking through its streets you can appreciate the features of the old Arab medina.
  2. Mijas. A coastal town that is located between the sea and the mountains. Its old town was declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1969.
  3. Frigiliana. It also has an old town named a Historic-Artistic Site. It also has the Archaeological Museum.
  4. Nerja. This is a pretty coastal town with multiple charms, although its beaches and local caves stand out.
  5. Antequera. This important town stretches out on the side of a hill and is made up of a network of streets of different character, depending on the period and many monuments of interest.
