96 companies from Gran Canaria win awards for their tourism quality
3 May, 2023The Cabildo de Gran Canaria has awarded the 'Tourism Quality Commitment Seal' to a total of 96 tourism companies, entities and professionals on the Island for their excellence in service as part of the Comprehensive Destination Tourism Quality System project (SICTED) ) of Turespaña, promoted by the Secretary of State for Tourism and managed on the island by Turismo de Gran Canaria.
SICTED is a project to improve tourist destinations. For this reason, the participating companies know that the badge is valid for two years, although it is subject to an annual follow-up evaluation. The requirement of tourist quality is thus never lowered among the participants in this programme.
Among other tools, SICTED has 35 good practice manuals, and offers affiliated companies and tourist services a training plan and assistance for its implementation, a process that culminates in obtaining the distinctive Tourism Quality Commitment that accredits compliance with the set requirements.
