Spanish campsites, increasingly attractive
31 May, 2023The demand for alternative accommodation is a trend that continues and has played in favour of campsites in the last three years. There are 10% more guests since the pandemic. The II Pitchup Trends Report prepared by the Pitchup platform has confirmed that occupancy in the first quarter of 2023 has grown by 47% compared to last year and 54% compared to the figures for 2019.
The report highlights that traditional coastal campsites, aimed at families, have enriched their facilities with increasingly extensive services, thus attracting a more varied audience. In addition, new glamping models have been created, sites with heating and Jacuzzi, or domes for stargazing, competing with quality boutique hotels.
