Cadiz's sustainable tourism plan is based on coexistence
5 July, 2023The City Council of Cadiz has obtained three million euros for the development of the tourism sustainability plan in destination presented through the project entitled 'Cadiz, towards a model of Sustainable Tourism 2023-2025'. It is “a city project” that allows us “to advance in the coexistence tourism for which we have been working”, said the institution.
Cadiz’s tourism sustainability plan is based on four fundamental axes: green and sustainable transition, improvement of energy efficiency, digital transition and competitiveness. Taking into account that congress tourism is booming in the city, the project includes improvements in the Congress Palace worth 925,000 euros, in “a clear commitment to this space”.
Among the planned actions are the refurbishment and adaptation of the Congress Centre’s walls, the replacement of the air conditioning system, the installation of photovoltaic panels for self-consumption, the replacement of LED lights and the digital transformation of the audiovisual equipment and the facility’s voice and data service.
