Branson opens Europe’s first Virgin Limited hotel in Spain
12 July, 2023In late June, entrepreneur Richard Branson formally inaugurated the Hotel Son Bunyola, extending Mallorca’s luxury offer and converting a 16th century finca into the first Virgin Limited Edition in Europe. “It's a momentous day as we open our beautiful Son Bunyola hotel,” after 25 years of to-ing and fro-ing, said the tycoon.
Hotel Son Bunyola has 26 rooms and two Tower Suites, one of which is housed in a former 13th century mediaeval defence tower. The property also includes three villas with private pools: Sa Terra Rotja with four bedrooms; Sa Punta de S'Aguila with five and Son Balagueret with four bedrooms.
The hotel has two restaurants (one open to the public), spa treatment rooms and a 28-metre swimming pool with a jacuzzi and tennis court. Activities include outdoor yoga, historical walks, cycling and hiking on the property. The establishment is set on a 520-hectare property and covers almost five kilometres of Mediterranean coastline.
