Spanish hoteliers will create robots to automate processes
19 July, 2023The Hotel Technology Institute (ITH) has created ITH Robotics Club, a meeting club between hoteliers, associations and technology for the co-creation of automation and robotics solutions (especially collaborative: COBOTS) and their implementation in hotels.
The ITH has been working in this field for several years but it is currently when the accommodation industry is undergoing a significant digital transformation that makes it possible to implement innovative technologies from other industries in their production processes.
COBOTS are an automation tool, widespread in other industries such as automotive or logistics, which can work collaboratively with humans, thus improving efficiency and performing specific tasks that are repetitive and do not add value or are dangerous for humans.
ITH Robotics Club began to take shape last February, coinciding with the approach and taking the pilot project as a starting point for the automation and implementation of robots in hotels, which is currently being carried out in Benidorm.
