What is the hidden gem for British cruise passengers in Spain?

Cádiz is the favourite European "hidden gem" for British cruise passengers, according to a survey carried out by cruise.co.uk, in which more than 700 people who have spent their holidays at sea took part. In it, the agency asked its clients to choose, without a prior list, which had been their favourite European "hidden gem" when it came to cruising.

The city of Cádiz received the highest number of mentions, followed by destinations such as Madeira, in Portugal; or Kotor, in Montenegro, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. According to the information provided by the agency, 44% of those surveyed cited the attractiveness of a place as the main reason for naming it their favourite hidden destination.

The agency highlighted the proximity of the port to the city centre, as well as the historic watchtowers, the cathedral, the amphitheatre and a large family beach among the values of this destination for cruise passengers. It also notes that “these hidden gems may not remain hidden for long, as 86% of respondents have recommended this destination to family and friends.
