115 dog-friendly Spanish beaches
23 August, 2023A total of 115 beaches in Spain will allow dogs during the summer of 2023, according to an interactive map produced by RedCanina.es. The Valencian Community and Andalusia are the regions with the highest number of pet-friendly beaches, according to RedCanina.
A few years ago, the Coastal Law was amended to include a ban on dogs on beaches during the summer season. However, since then, dozens of municipalities have opted to set up beaches so that bathers can bring their dogs.
