Spanish rural tourism recorded good occupancy in August
23 August, 2023The average occupancy of rural accommodation in Spain during August will be around 60%, with peaks reaching 75% on certain dates, according to forecasts by the Escapadarural portal. The regions with the highest occupancy rates are expected to be Asturias, Murcia, Navarra, Cantabria and the Balearic Islands.
The platform has indicated that the period with the highest occupancy rates will be between 11 and 20 August. On these dates, some communities and provinces are expected to reach or even exceed 75% occupancy. The best performing regions are Asturias, Malaga, Cadiz, Barcelona and Las Palmas.
And several communities exceed the average occupancy rate of 60% in August. This will be the case in the region of Murcia, Navarra, Cantabria, the Balearics and Catalonia. In other regions, occupancy will be between 50% and 60%, as is expected in Andalusia, Galicia, the Basque Country, Aragon and Valencia.
