Eurostars will open a luxury hotel in an iconic building of Malaga

23 August, 2023

Eurostars Hotel Company will soon begin construction of its flagship project in Malaga: the Áurea Palacio de la Tinta, which will be located in an iconic 20th century building. The building forms part of the city’s architectural heritage, so the proposed conversion into a luxury hotel will respect its original structure, recovering the interior of the rooms for its new use.

The building, located on Paseo de Reding opposite Malagueta beach, is 10,500 square metres in size and was built in 1908 by the architect Julio O’Brien. Initially, it was the headquarters of the Andalusian Railway Company, later it was the headquarters of the Southern Hydrographic Confederation (CHS) and the Andalusian Water Agency.

The hotel, which will be part of the Áurea Hotels brand, will have 141 rooms and will be the third 5-star hotel in the capital of the Costa del Sol. Malaga is in the process of growth and reinvention, promoting quality tourism with an offer that extols its cultural heritage through art, historical monuments and gastronomy.
