Renfe Avlo trains accept pets up to 10 kilos
23 August, 2023Pets weighing up to 10 kilos will now be able to travel on Renfe’s Avlo trains. Pet tickets are now available for sale in all Renfe’s usual channels and are purchased by adding an additional supplement to the passenger’s ticket at the time of purchase or at a later date. The price per journey and pet is 10 euros.
One pet per passenger is allowed, no more than 10 kilos and provided they are the following pets: dogs, cats, ferrets, non-poultry, guinea pigs, hamsters and rabbits. The animals must travel in a cage or carrier (maximum dimensions 60x35x35 cm), at the passenger’s feet or on his/her lap without occupying a seat.
In addition, the carrier must be fitted with a device to contain and remove waste. You can travel on Avlo trains with a small pet (at the best price and with full Renfe comfort) on the following journeys: Madrid-Barcelona, Madrid-Valencia, Madrid-Alicante, Madrid-Malaga and Madrid-Seville.
