60 chefs participate in World Paella Day in Valencia
13 September, 2023A total of 60 chefs from 30 different countries have gone through the preliminary phase to get a place in the final of World Paella Day, in Valencia, which will be held on September 20 during International Paella Day. Last year's event left significant changes in the competition, though Spain maintained the role of host, just like this year. And France won this cup under the talents of chef Eric Gil.
In the fourth edition of the World Paella Day CUP, applications have been made from five continents, from New Zealand, India, Japan and Korea to Colombia and Argentina, passing through Israel or Morocco. Mexico is the country with the most applicants, with a total of nine candidates.
In addition, this year there is also a strong European participation with chefs representing the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, the Czech Republic, France, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Romania and Estonia. Everyone wants to win the World Paella Day CUP!
