The 'Ceramics train' will depart from Madrid in the direction of Talavera

Renfe, in collaboration with Turismo de Castilla-La Mancha, has launched the tourist train 'Tren de la Cerámica' [Ceramics train], which runs between Madrid and Talavera de la Reina (Toledo) to get to know this La Mancha town. The ticket for this theme train includes guided visits to the most touristic, cultural and ethnographic places in the city, as well as a ceramics workshop.

The Ceramics train trip will take place on Saturday, October 28, from the Madrid-Chamartín Clara Campoamor station at 9:00 a.m., with a stop at Madrid-Atocha Cercanías at 9:12 a.m. (with a subsequent return to Madrid-Chamartín Clara Campoamor at 9:06 p.m. and Madrid-Atocha Cercanías at 8:50 p.m.). Arrival at the Talavera de la Reina station will be at 10:46.

In addition to traveling by train, the ticket for this tourist train includes guided visits to the city’s most notable monuments, such as its walls, the Torres Albarranas, the Basilica of Nuestra Señora del Prado, the Ruiz de Luna Ceramics Museum and the Ethnographic Museum, a walk along the banks of the Tagus River and a visit to a workshop of its renowned ceramics.
