Scheduled airline seats up 5% in September
20 September, 2023The number of seats scheduled by airlines on international flights to Spain for September 2023 is approaching 10.7 million, up +10.1% compared to the 9.7 million seats operated in the same month of 2022, according to the forecast based on a selection of outbound tourism markets. The offer grows in all markets, in double digits in most.
The report, prepared by Turespaña from the records of the Spanish Association for the Coordination and Facilitation of Time Slots (AECFA), includes the air capacity scheduled to Spain by airlines, which together account for 87.1% of the total number of international seats scheduled on international routes to the country in the month.
As for the five main traditional outbound markets, which account for 60% of the total supply for this month, almost 2.5 m seats (+5.5%) have been scheduled from the first, the UK, which represents 23.4% of the total supply of international seats scheduled for this month.
