Tourist destinations share sustainability strategies in Seville

4 October, 2023

In 2030, the UNWTO estimates that 1.8 billion tourists will travel around the world, compared to the 900 million who travelled in 2022, showing the importance of intensifying the integration of sustainability criteria in all tourism operations. Travellers themselves have already realised the need for more sustainable travel choices.

This year, TIS - Tourism Innovation Summit 2023 will become the epicentre of this crucial debate. The summit, which will take place in Seville from 18-20 October, is the platform where over 7,000 tourism professionals and 400 international experts will explore how innovation and technology can offer viable solutions to balance economic growth, environmental sustainability and positive impact.

To this end, TIS2023 will bring together leading international voices who are already putting sustainability at the centre of the debate, such as Céline Cousteau, documentary filmmaker, socio-environmental advocate, explorer and founder of CauseCentric Productions.
