Air Europa receives Skyteam award for its ability to reduce emissions
4 October, 2023Air Europa has been recognised with the “Lowest short-haul CO2 emissions” award as part of “The Sustainable Flight Challenge”, organised for the second consecutive year by the SkyTeam alliance.
On this occasion, the company participated by connecting Madrid and Amsterdam with a return flight that became the most sustainable of all those operated by the Spanish airline this year. Air Europa used one of its most representative aircraft, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
SkyTeam's “Sustainable Flight Challenge” is unique in the industry. It consists of a friendly competition between the companies that make up the alliance and some of its subsidiaries, to contribute to the acceleration of innovation and change in the commercial aviation industry, reducing the impact on the environment as much as possible through good practices that can be implemented in daily operations.
