Calvià promotes itself as a destination for autumn getaways

18 October, 2023

Calvià is a municipality in Mallorca known for its sun and beach offer but it is also one of the quintessential areas of the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range which is why it has some of the most picturesque areas on the island. This area prepares to welcome travellers who want to explore its cultural and historical richness during the autumn season. The municipality has a truly fascinating side: its artistic and historical heritage.

The Mallorcan municipality has dozens of historic buildings of great historical, scenic and ethnological interest. Among others, the Cruz del Desembarco in Santa Ponça. Located in a unique setting, it commemorates the arrival of King Jaume I, who conquered the island between 1229 and 1231. In the same area is the Mirador del Cañón de las Islas Malgrat, from where you can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets.

In the heart of the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range, Calvià has the Finca de Galatzó, a traditional construction which, as well as representing an important historical legacy for the island, has the perfect setting for those who love excursions and hiking.
