Volotea achieves a record number of passengers, routes and flights
18 October, 2023After launching the largest ever offer of seats and routes for this summer and increasing the offer in all its markets, Volotea, a Spanish airline specialising in small and medium-sized European cities, which operates between Spain and the United Kingdom, among other countries, has achieved record results.
The airline operated 6,200 flights between June and August, which is 23% more than the 5,070 operated in the same period last year (and 47% more than in 2019). Furthermore, in terms of occupancy, Volotea has also achieved very positive results with a rate of 96% compared to an average of 94% over the last five summers.
Across Europe, the airline offered over 400 routes (27% more than in 2019) on which it has operated over 26,600 flights between June and August, resulting in more than 4 million passengers carried (34% more than in 2019). Thus, it has increased its seat offer to 4.4 million, which represents a 5% increase compared to the previous summer (37% more than in 2019).
