European airlines maintain their commitment to Spain in autumn

25 October, 2023

European airlines have scheduled 10.5 million seats on their international flights to Spain for October, some 143,073 fewer than in September, although +9.8% more than in the same month of 2022, when they offered 9.6 million seats, according to the monthly report on planned air capacity prepared by Turespaña.

The offer grows in all markets, in double digits in most. The report, compiled from the records of the Spanish Association for the Coordination and Facilitation of Slots (AECFA), includes the air capacity measured in seats offered by airlines on their flights to Spain from the 20 main outbound tourist markets

Together, they account for 87.3% of the total number of seats on international routes to Spain. The five main outbound markets account for 59.6% of the total supply, with the United Kingdom remaining in first position, having scheduled more than 2.38m seats (+3%), a figure that represents 22.7% of the total supply of international seats planned for October.
