Ryanair inaugurates a new base in Tenerife Sur

The low cost airline Ryanair has announced the creation of a new operational base for the season with the incorporation of a third aircraft based at Tenerife South. With the new links, this airport will have 47 routes, in addition to the increase in frequencies on over 30 routes to cities such as Dublin, Manchester and London.

Elena Cabrera, Ryanair’s country manager for Spain and Portugal, said: “Ryanair continues to grow on the island, offering more choice and the lowest fares to our customers/visitors to Tenerife for winter 2023/2024.... With this programme, we bring inbound tourism to the island, while offering domestic and international connectivity to our Tenerife customers”.

Ryanair operates over 540 routes in Spain and transports over 54 million passengers a year to and from the country on its fleet of 76 based aircraft (76,600 million dollars of investment), generating more than 42,000 jobs in the country, according to company figures.
