Zaragoza, 1 of the 10 European destinations highlighted by Le Monde
10 January, 2024Representatives of the prestigious media outlet Le Monde visited the city of Zaragoza in late September to discover the city’s many charms. Zaragoza is now among the 10 European destinations recommended by the newspaper for 2024, as announced in an article published in the digital version on the 10th of December.
The newspaper describes Zaragoza as a lively and welcoming city, where it is possible to follow in Goya’s footsteps while enjoying diverse architectural styles, such as Romanesque, Gothic and Mudejar. The splendour of Goya’s legacy stands out, as well as the richness of the Roman heritage and the majesty of the Basilica del Pilar. Gastronomy, tapas and the charming hustle and bustle of the city’s squares also feature prominently in the narrative.
And Le Monde suggests the option of discovering the city in a great way by cycling along the Ebro River to the Expo site. Zaragoza is presented as a destination that combines history, architecture, gastronomy and urban charm, making it a top choice for travellers in the coming year.
