The Parador de Santiago de Compostela will improve its conservation

The Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) has published the call for tenders for the refurbishment works at the Parador de Santiago de Compostela, a building belonging to Turespaña, with an investment of almost 10.5 million euros, charged to the European funds of the for Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) - Next Generation.

The work on the Parador de Santiago will consist of restoring the façades facing the Plaza del Obradoiro and the west side, the Renaissance courtyards, the historic eaves and conservation work on the Royal Chapel and its dome. Various work will be carried out to improve the façade, alongside the illumination of the courtyards and elements of the façades.

The tender for this project is part of a first batch of works for the conservation, improvement and enhancement of five Turespaña paradors which are considered Assets of Cultural Interest. The base budget for the tender is almost 14 million euros and the Parador de Santiago de Compostela has the largest investment of the entire project.
