Valencia will celebrate 400 activities as European Green Capital 2024

24 January, 2024

The city of Valencia is celebrating its status as European Green Capital in 2024, which will result in 400 activities. Among them, the presentation of the guide ‘Green Routes of Valencia’, which collects this year’s proposals, as well as a set of routes to facilitate the enjoyment of tourists of this city’s achievements in terms of sustainability.

The routes focus on three key areas, starting with Nature, as Valencia has a rich biodiversity, which is reflected in its natural spaces, such as the Albufera Natural Park, the Valencian orchard or the Turia garden. This is followed by sustainable Mobility: the city is committed to sustainable mobility, promoting the use of public transport, cycling and walking.

Finally, the third area is the recovery of public areas: Valencia has recovered public areas for the enjoyment of citizens and visitors, such as the Turia garden or the Marina of Valencia. Valencia’s European Green Capital Routes are a unique opportunity to get to know the city and its achievements in terms of sustainability.
