Vueling introduces facial recognition technology in its flights
31 January, 2024In Spain we can now travel by air in a much more agile, comfortable and, above all, secure way, thanks to the biometric technology and facial recognition system that Vueling has implemented at the airports of Madrid, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza.
Innovation in service, speed and convenience for travellers, together with security and agility, are the objectives of the biometric technology that Vueling has begun to implement since November. This first phase will continue in the coming weeks in Tenerife North and Gran Canaria.
Vueling has thus become a pioneer in Spain in offering this system, based on identification technology through the recognition of people’s physical and non-transferable characteristics. This allows passengers to make the entire journey from the security checkpoint to the aircraft without having to show their documentation or boarding card.
