Benidorm and PortAventura rewarded for their sustainability
7 February, 2024The International Tourism Fair, Fitur 2024, in collaboration with Impulsa Igualdad, has announced the winners of the first edition of the Fitur 4all Awards. So the jury, made up of experts in tourism, accessibility and inclusion, has determined that Benidorm and Port Aventura World were two of the participants that are most in line with the objectives of inclusivity in tourism in the categories of Inclusive National Destination and Inclusive Company, respectively.
These awards recognise the efforts of destinations, companies and institutions in developing and promoting accessibility in the tourism sector and were created to give visibility, thank and encourage the commitment to move towards inclusive tourism.
Benidorm has been awarded for its exemplary proposal with its palpable inclusive reality in the destination. In turn, PortAventura World stands out for its improved accessibility to all the park’s attractions, as well as the creation of a mobile platform for people with reduced mobility to experience the new ‘Uncharted’ attraction as if they had ridden it.
