11 Casual Hotels go for 100% green energy
7 February, 2024The Casual Hoteles chain, which recently received the First Tourism Sustainability Award from HOSBEC in the “Best Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy” category, has signed an agreement with the Conecta2 Energía marketing company to provide clean and sustainable energy to 11 of its 24 hotels.
Specifically, the energy that will be supplied to the chain’s hotel establishments will come exclusively from renewable sources such as solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, marine, biomass and biogas, as announced by the Valencia-based brand.
Already implemented in its hotels in Madrid, Barcelona, Cadiz, Malaga, Seville, San Sebastian and Valencia, Casual Hoteles will be able to avoid the emission into the atmosphere of 1,134,000 kilos of CO2 per year, equivalent to planting 24,450 trees, or to stop using 280 tonnes of oil equivalent (toe).
