14 February, 2024

The Government of the Balearic Islands has announced support for the tourism industry through the investment of 12 million euros for tourism technology companies, in order to support innovation, as well as another 9 million euros for sustainability, both from European Next Generation funds.

In addition, the President of the Balearic Government, Marga Prohens, announced at the Fitur 2024 fair the launch of an Integral Plan of Professional Excellence to promote training in the sector, with the focus on generating more talent and attracting it, making less traditional roles known.

And she also announced that €9 million will be allocated from the NextGen funds to boost energy efficiency in establishments in the tourism sector.
