A Spanish hotel opens a restaurant in a recycled container
14 February, 2024Landmar Playa la Arena has inaugurated Macaronesia Food Truck, a new gastronomic concept, designed using a recycled container, with which the Canary Island hotel chain seeks to complement its culinary offerings by addressing key aspects such as innovation, design and sustainability.
The container, 18 m2, has a fully equipped kitchen inside and serves a large terrace with capacity for 62 diners who will be able to enjoy spectacular views of the sea with the island of La Gomera in the background while they enjoy a tailor-made gastronomic offer.
In the words of José María Teixidó, director of Landmar Playa la Arena, “giving a second life to an element that until now had only been a storage and transport space has been a major challenge for the company. But, without a doubt, the effort has been worth it and we have managed to create an area that is in line with the aesthetic line we were looking for and which at the same time has allowed us to recycle an existing building”.
