Jet2.com’s summer seats to Spain increase by 10%
14 February, 2024Jet2.com will offer almost 4 million seats to Spain this summer, representing a 10% increase over summer 2023, or over 360,000 more seats available than last season. The British airline revealed its plans for growth in the Spanish market for 2024 during the latest edition of the Fitur 2024 tourism fair.
After consolidating its position as the 7th airline in the Aena network and 3rd in passengers from the UK by 2023, with over 4.5 million, Jet2.com will add over 360,000 seats in arrivals to Spain by the summer of 2024. In total, the airline will offer 124 UK-Spain routes, 10 more than last summer, with a peak of almost 740 flights in peak season, 77 more than in 2023.
The new route from Liverpool, to eight Spanish airports from the end of March, will be the big new addition in 2024. The airports where the airline will be most active will be Mallorca, Tenerife South and Alicante, although it is worth highlighting the growth experienced in Almeria (30%) and Fuerteventura (20%). What’s more it’ll maintain its leading position in terms of passenger numbers at airports such as Lanzarote, Tenerife South and Reus.
