Renfe is committed to the robotisation of its rail services
6 March, 2024Renfe is committed to robotisation and process automation thanks to the 'Automáticamente' project, which is confirmed as a transversal and essential tool within the company’s strategic plan to improve efficiency, productivity and competitiveness. Renfe appreciates the good pace of progress.
There are currently over a 100 completed processes and over 20 underway in the Digital Competence Centres. What’s more, 114 developments (improvements have already been made to processes already in operation) and 99 processes are already being monitored in support. An investment of almost six million euros has been earmarked for these projects.
Note that until 2027, an investment of 10 million euros is planned in the commitment to robotisation, which will make life easier for workers and customers. Renfe expects 260 robotised processes to be completed that year, together with a specialised team that will support these robots, which will be even more intelligent, intuitive and easy to use thanks to the incorporation of new technologies.
