Madrid will host 20 congresses with over 1,000 participants in 2024

In 2024, the city of Madrid will continue to host new major professional meetings. At this point in the year, 20 congresses with more than 1,000 attendees have already been confirmed. This includes seven confirmed events which reflect the variety of sectors that are committed to this destination as a venue for its services and its high-level offer for meeting tourism.

Specifically, these are the congresses of the International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies (ISSVA), the World Federation of Haemophilia (WFH), the European Hematology Association (EHA), the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD), the Federation of European Risk Management Associations (FERMA), the International Continence Society (ICS) and the International Botanical Congress (IBC).

Last year, the Spanish capital hosted around twenty major congresses with over 1,000 participants. These meetings brought 72,000 congress participants to the city and created over 42,000 direct and indirect jobs. They also generated an economic impact of 88 million euros.
