Ryanair will connect Cardiff with Barcelona this summer
13 March, 2024The airline Ryanair has included in its schedule for the summer of 2024 a connection between the airports of Cardiff and Barcelona, three times a week. In total, the company will open nine routes to different European destinations, for which it will have a total of three aircraft based in Alicante.
With this addition, Ryanair will add 16 aircraft in total for the summer campaign in Spain. This deployment will mean an additional 300 million dollars of investment, creating over 90 new jobs for pilots and cabin crew, according to the company.
The company forecasts a 22% growth to 5.3 million passengers in the 2024 summer season. With over 4,500 jobs, including 480 direct jobs for pilots, cabin crew and engineers at Ryanair.
