Sercotel will enter the holiday hotel segment this year
20 March, 2024The Sercotel chain plans to add between 12 and 15 hotels for rental and management in 2024, in addition to the nine a year earlier. But undoubtedly the great novelty for this year, in the words of its CEO, José Rodríguez, is that “we will cease to be a chain of urban hotels and become a hotel chain, making the same journey on the beach that we have made in the city”.
The expansion team, he announced, “is already working in the market, with the forecast of adding between three and five first beach hotels this year”, which will increase the revenue forecast. The targets are hotels with 80 to 250 rooms in the Canary Islands, Balearic Islands and Costa del Sol as preferred areas of action on the Spanish coasts.
Rodríguez has advanced that “there will not be a new brand for the beach because we do not have sufficient volume to differentiate brands. Our aim is that our clients continue to trust Sercotel and its differential values -'Welcome to your best' is our motto- and that they find the same in the holidays as in their business stays in our urban hotels”.
