Spain's most expensive hotel to open in June in Mallorca
10 April, 2024The legendary Hotel Formentor in Mallorca will reopen its doors next June under the Four Seasons label, becoming the chain's second establishment in Spain and the highest-priced to date. The chain wants to start marketing the holiday stays next March, while the reconstruction of the complex is progressing.
The Formentor has already recovered the volume of the original building after the reconstruction. In addition, two pilot rooms have been furnished to give an idea of what the luxury hotel will look like when it finally reopens. All the furniture has been expressly designed and made to measure for the project. From now until its reopening, the interiors of one floor will be completed every month.
Almost 80 million euros has been invested by the property to date. What began as a comprehensive refurbishment project took shape over the months to include a luxurious spa in a new semi-basement with sea views. It is a semi-basement because its roof, now visible at the construction stage, will be hidden under a landscaped area once the garden is completed.
