Renfe luxury tourist trains: dates and routes
10 April, 2024Renfe estimates that the demand for passengers who want to enjoy the comforts and attractions of luxury tourist trains will increase this year by 30.5% in 2024, with a total of 3,549 passengers. Most customers, 67.4%, are international, mainly from the European Union and the United States. This year, as a novelty, the La Robla coal train has been added to the offer.
So Renfe is launching a new season of luxury tourist trains. A way of travelling that allows you to travel hundreds of kilometres on board luxury hotels, with all the comforts and attributes of slow travel, so much in vogue lately. It combines rest, leisure, culture and fine cuisine, both on the trains and in restaurants along the route.
In the 2024 campaign, Renfe will run 81 trains in the luxury tourist train segment, a 3.8% increase on the 78 trains that ran in 2023, on which 2,718 customers travelled. The number of passengers forecast for this year is 3,549, i.e. 30.5% up on last year.
