Las Palmas unveils new tourist information signs and posters
17 April, 2024The City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has renewed, improved and extended the information displayed on all beaches and promenades along the capital’s coastline. This move means that the city's coastline now includes information boards that contribute to the dissemination of the capital's environmental values and maritime culture.
The new signage highlights the codes of conduct, safety warnings, maps and information on the services of each beach, with a total of 66 new signs, to which are added 97 units of dynamic signs for the shore; in addition to 11 panels for the new path linking Bahía de La Luz and Las Palmas, and 6 for the replacement of the path in the Bay of El Confital, located on the Paseo de Las Canteras.
The signage, whose installation was completed just in time for the beginning of Holy Week, meets the requirements of being uniform and adapted to its surrounding as well as being inclusive and easy-to-understand. These are found on all beaches, Las Canteras, Las Alcaravaneras, El Confital, San Cristóbal and La Laja as well as natural pools Bocabarranco and Las Gaviotas.
