EasyJet reopens bases in Palma and Malaga while opening another in Alicante
17 April, 2024The airline EasyJet has reopened its bases in Palma de Mallorca and Malaga while inaugurating a new base in Alicante, kicking off the 2024 summer season with a schedule of more than 6.1 million seats between the three bases until October, which represents an increase in capacity offered of 41.1% compared to the same period in 2023, bringing the fleet assigned to Spain to 19 aircraft.
The seasonal bases in Malaga and Palma are scheduled to have a capacity of 1.9 million and 2.7 million seats, respectively, with increases of 7.1% and 7.9% compared to the 2023 capacity. In addition, 1.5 million seats have been scheduled at the new Alicante base, which represents an increase of around 10%.
From the Balearic capital, EasyJet has increased its range of destinations from 26 to 32, adding Southampton and Belfast City, among others. Palma de Mallorca Airport has increased its fleet from 7 to 8 aircraft. From Malaga, it has extended its network from 15 to 19 destinations, adding Birmingham Intl. And from Alicante it will offer 22 destinations in Europe.
