Jet2.com to fly from Bournemouth to 8 Spanish destinations by 2025
24 April, 2024Jet2.com will open its twelfth UK base in Bournemouth in April 2025. Of the 16 destinations that will have direct flights from the southern English city, 8 are in Spain: Alicante, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca. The first flight from Bournemouth on 1 April 2025 will be to Tenerife. Likewise, the route to Fuerteventura will be exclusive to the British company.
According to Jet2.com in a press release, this expansion “is a further demonstration of the company’s confidence in its long-term strategy and commitment to Spain and its islands, its main foreign market, where Jet2holidays is already the leading British tour operator in the Balearic and Canary Islands”.
It is worth remembering that Jet2.com will offer almost 4 million seats to Spain this summer, representing a 10% increase over summer 2023, or over 360,000 more seats available than last season.
