Record number of airline seats to Spain this summer
8 May, 2024The forecasts for this summer season in Spain, with an expected number of airline seats from April to October 2024 of 240 million, 13.5% above the number operated in the summer season of 2023, point to a new record, according to the Airline Association (ALA).
Some regions stand out, such as the Canaries (14.1%) or Andalusia (14%), with above-average increases, although practically all show positive prospects. The evolution of air traffic throughout this year suggests the possibility of breaking a new air traffic record in Spain.
The data for the summer season is optimistic and anticipates a record year, continuing the optimistic outlook of the first quarter of the year, where an accumulated growth in the number of passengers of 13.2% over the previous year has been recorded.
