Booking.com: most welcoming cities in Spain
29 May, 2024The cities of Malaga, Madrid and Seville have been recognised as the most welcoming cities in Spain in the Traveller Review Awards 2024, awarded by Booking.com. The event took place in April in the city of Gijón, which also celebrated the fact that Asturias was selected among the ten most welcoming regions in the world.
Moreover, in the international context, Spain has consolidated its position as one of the countries with the highest number of award-winning accommodation, occupying second position worldwide, only behind Italy and ahead of France. This recognition reflects the hospitable and warm character that characterises these places, which attract numerous tourists from all over the world.
In the case of Asturias, it has been selected among the ten most welcoming regions in the world, occupying ninth place in the ranking. It should be noted that this recognition is not only for the region as a whole, but also for some of its most picturesque municipalities such as Ribadesella, Cangas de Onís, Biescas, Luanco and Oviedo.
