How to enjoy PortAventura without queuing
29 May, 2024Imagine you are at PortAventura World theme park and you want to ride Shambhala, one of the park’s most popular roller coasters. The normal queue can have a wait of 1 hour, but you decide to use the Single Rider queue. Suddenly, your waiting time is drastically shortened and you enjoy Tarragona's leisure park far more.
By agreeing to enter the ‘single rider’ queue, you are placed in a separate queue for people who don't mind riding alone. While you wait, park staff look for empty seats in the departing carriages. For example, if a family of three occupies a four-seat carriage, you could take the empty seat, reducing the wait time to just 15 minutes.
Another example might be on Furius Baco, a high-speed attraction that simulates a flight through a vineyard. The normal queue could be 45 minutes, but by choosing the ‘single rider’ queue, you could end up waiting just 10 minutes. In this case, if a group of five friends occupies a row of six seats, you could fill that row.
