The improvements at Tenerife Norte Airport after its refurbishment
3 July, 2024The Spanish airport operator AENA has awarded the Technical Assistance for Project Drafting (ATRP) for the adaptation of the terminal area of the Tenerife Norte-Ciudad de La Laguna Airport to the joint venture formed by Cemosa, Fairbanks Arquitectos SLP and Intecsa-Inarsa SA for a total amount of 3 million euros.
The contract duration will be 36 months, during the first 18 months of which the project for the adaptation of the terminal area will be drawn up. The drafting of the project includes an increase in check-in counters, security lines, new areas for the boarding process and baggage reclaim, according to the managing body.
In addition, the project also envisages actions in the car parks and in the urbanisation, as well as the necessary equipment and furniture. The expected result of this project is to improve the quality and efficiency of the airport facilities while respecting the architectural uniqueness of the building.
