Jet2 increases seats on flights to the Canary Islands from 5 airports

31 July, 2024

The British airline Jet2.com and its partner tour operator Jet2holidays have announced an increase of 25,000 additional seats between the United Kingdom and five airports of the Canary Islands for next winter, specifically, the months of February and March 2025, from five of its British airports: Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Manchester and Newcastle, and mainly to the islands of Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Lanzarote.

As the airline informed in a press release, this increase in the number of airplane seats will result potentially in more than 13,000 more tourist arrivals compared to previous forecasts. As part of this capacity increase, the airline will launch flights this winter from its new base at Bournemouth Airport.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, stated that the Canary Islands' continuing appeal as a favourite winter sun destination has prompted them to add even more options for customers and independent travel agents.
