The wine region that wants to lead Spanish wine tourism
14 August, 2024Wine tourism is booming in Spain. So the two designations of origin in the province of Burgos have focused on the potential of their territories to increase the presence of tourists. To do so, they need a marketing plan that the oldest, Ribera del Duero, wants to promote with the aim of leading this type of tourism in Spain.
A few months ago, the Ribera del Duero appellation put this marketing plan out to tender and a Valencian company, Emotional Business, will implement it for a total of 338,712 euros. The idea is to be ready by March 2025 for immediate implementation.
The wine tourism market in La Ribera is a priority. Sp the region wants to “increase and improve the positioning of the Wine route as one of Spain’s major eno-gastro-tourist destinations among its strategic markets”. To achieve this, it is considered necessary to promote it more and better.
