How many million airline seats are on offer to Spain this August?
14 August, 2024Airlines have scheduled 12.6 million seats on their international flights to Spain this August, +10.3% more than the 11.4 million offered in the same month of 2023. This is revealed in Turespaña’s monthly report on the country’s expected air capacity from a selection of 20 outbound tourism markets, which together account for 85.6% of the total number of international seats expected for the country in the month.
Variation rates are calculated on seats offered on flights during the same period in 2023. Comparing seat forecasts for August 2024 with those for the same date in 2023, the performance of the main source markets, the United Kingdom (+7.7%), Germany (+8.5%), Italy (+13.1%), France (+9.4%) and the Netherlands (+5.8%), continues to be strong.
Once again, the extraordinary increases in supply from Poland (+41.2%) and the Czech Republic (+29.4%) stood out this month. lLikewise, double-digit increases are recorded from the USA (+12.1%) in August. In Latin America, the improvement in supply in Mexico (+97%) is noteworthy.
