Valencia and Malaga emerge as destinations for MICE tourism

MICE tourism in Spain has undergone a transformation in recent years. Madrid and Barcelona have traditionally been the leading cities for business tourism, but a significant change is taking place: Valencia and Malaga are fast emerging as significant competitors in this field.

The Spanish company Consultia Business Travel, specialising in the integrated management of business travel and the MICE sector, has indicated that Malaga is becoming Spain’s own "Silicon Valley", attracting a considerable amount of investment in the technology sector. This development is boosting the local economy and positioning the city as a centre of innovation and entrepreneurship.

He pointed out that Valencia has improved its air connectivity facilitating the arrival of tourists and event participants, as well as increasing their range of hotels and offering a wide variety of infrastructures for events, such as the Conference Centre and the City of Arts and Sciences.
