4 Spanish cities in the 20 European cities with the most hotel overnight st

The ranking of the 20 most touristic cities in Europe by number of overnight stays in hotels and other accommodation includes four destinations in Spain. On average, city tourism recorded a growth of 13.7% last year.

Barcelona ranks seventh on the list, with 21.7 million overnight stays, while Madrid is next with 19.9 million. In 17th place is Palma de Mallorca, with 9.7 million, while Seville closes the list in 20th place, with 7.6 million overnight stays in 2023.

The evolution registered in this index in the four Spanish cities is more intense in Seville, where overnight stays have grown by 18% in 2022-2023. This is followed by Madrid, with a development of 13.1%, and then Barcelona, with 10%. For Palma, the increase was 6 percent.
